Hey Crashers,
We’ve had a great few days. The worship night we wrote about recently went really well. Thanks for the support and encouragement. It felt a lot like we wrote about last week - stepping out onto a high wire with no net. But God is always good, and His presence was evident in it all.
This week we’re back at the daily habits of life. We know that the things you do everyday matter. They slowly grow over time. It’s a daily, little-by-little endeavour… but the results are often amazing!
To that end, here’s this week’s Rapid 5.
Grace and Peace,

5 things worth sharing this week.
A photo a day for 15 years!
There’s something inspiring about someone turning up every day for 15 years to simply take a selfie. (Tip: Watch the video at double speed). And while you watch, consider how doing something little every day could amount to building a folio of art, a massive catalogue of songs, or a huge Bible understanding, over time. Why not start today?
How much is too much?
Check out this visual representation of the average household income vs. Amazon founder, Jeff Bezos. It’s mind-blowing!! Hopefully, this motivates you to imagine new ways to use your art to tell better stories (AND to make a difference with the resources you have!!)
Using music to encourage, delight… or disturb?
This week, I stumbled on a composer who explores composition that, to me, is uncomfortable to listen to. But, in some strange way, it’s moving. She says she uses tuning, or “more accurately, detuning” as the “key to unlocking” this unique soundscape.
All that to say, there’s room for your creations in the world, no matter the style or audience size. So keep creating!
From the Rhino Journals - Some people make stupid choices! That’s what I thought of the Wallendas. Their high-risk lives seemed absurd. But should our lives be lived any differently? Explore it here with me.
Charles Spurgeon… the man who “fizzed” on life!
This is one of the most surprisingly whimsical podcasts I have heard all year. Charles Spurgeon was a Baptist preacher from the 1800s, and he was known as the “Prince of Preachers.” But who was the man behind the scenes? Turns out he was a humorous man, prone to being fearful, despite his love for Christ and hatred for wickedness. This podcast will encourage you, make you laugh, grow your faith, and feed your soul.
As long as you’re good, you're good. Right?
Nope! Why? Because that’s not Christianity, but it is “Moralistic Therapeutic Deism” - one of the most prevalent ways of thinking about God today. You may even think this way by accident. Here’s a short article that explains what it is and why it should be avoided!!
