Can you believe there are only 90 days left in 2025?

I always get to this stage of the year and feel so much anticipation for Christmas….and so much dread. And then I think about the new year that is hot on the heels of the festive season… and the slowing down for Advent seems like a whimsical dream.

Often I find myself instead limping toward the finish line. Which makes me wonder how we could possibly end the year strong? Not exhausted or empty, but awake, inspired, and alive to what God is still doing in us and through us.

If you are anything like us 2025 has been a year of Gods grace, favour and kindness. We have worked hard, a lot and long… but we have seen beauty like only God can bring. In people, in our church and in our lives.

So we’re excited for what He has in store for the future.

I’m imagining entering 2026 with creative energy flowing. Can’t you see it: fresh ideas stirring, your craft growing, and your imagination coming alive again.

Years ago, as a team, we ran a 100 Day Creative Challenge over summer. Every day we sent out a small creative prompt: one idea, one question, one spark. Something to nudge people to do something to move forward in their craft.

  • Write for ten minutes.

  • Take a photo.

  • Draw something.

  • Hum a melody and record it.

  • Notice beauty.

  • Tell a story.

It wasn’t about perfection. It was about showing up…. Every day.

For the sake of your creativity.
For the sake of your calling.
To bear the image of God, the Creator.

The results were extraordinary.

New songs were written.
Art installations came to life.
Books were started.
Dreams re-awakened.

And somehow, word spread, influencing creatives and communities all around the world.

Here’s what I learned:

Focus and attention yield results.

When you choose to turn your gaze toward what gives life and give yourself to it with intention, something begins to grow.

When our kids were little we used to say things like “sleep breeds sleep” - you know the more sleep a baby gets the more it needs. I think the same thing about creativity - “creating breads creativity” - extending yourself artistically regularly inspires you more. Not the other way around.

And the key?
Make sure your input is greater than your output.
You can’t pour from an empty cup.

You need fuel to fan the flames of creativity.

So, as we head into these final 90 days of the year, I want to invite you to fill your cup. To commit to a 90 day quest to spark your imagination for a new year. Create spaces of longing, beauty and hope to draw from in a new year.

And how do you do that?

  1. Read something that makes you think.

  2. Sit with a passage of Scripture that stirs your imagination; Like Genesis 1 where creativity begins, Exodus 31 where God anoints artists, Psalm 19 where the heavens declare His glory, or John 1 where the Word becomes flesh. Let the word of God dwell richly in you.

  3. Create something that expresses what resonates with you.

If you’re ready to finish the year with intention, to rekindle your creative rhythm and end 2025 inspired then we’ve created something just for you.

Behind the paywall this week is The Finish Strong Creative Toolkit: a 90-day journey of imagination, Scripture, and daily creative prompts.

You’ll find:

  • A 90-day Bible reading plan to stir creativity, beauty, and faith.

  • A reading list of ten incredible books to refill your creative well.

  • Ninety creative prompts to reawaken wonder, reflection, and artistic rhythm.

Let’s see what happens when we give our attention to our art, even for a few minutes a day.

Let’s see what grows.

Let’s see what beauty unfolds in the last 90 days of 2025.

Here’s to finishing the year full of wonder, not worn out.

Here’s to creating with hope.

Here’s to 90 days of possibility.
