It’s never too early to start dreaming about Christmas! I’ve been pinning away on my Christmas Pinterest board (yes, already) and it’s overflowing with inspiration—festive tables, wild color combos, and a few ideas that might just be a little too crazy… or maybe just crazy enough 😊.
But here’s the truth:
The best ideas never happen alone. Collaboration is the secret sauce that turns good into great and brings everyone along for the ride. You need a “dream team” if you’re truly going to do something incredible.
So, let us help motivate you today to create or reshape your dream team this week.
3 Ways to Invite People to Dream With You
Make the Invitation Fun
Don’t just announce a meeting, invite people to dream. Share your Pinterest board, a playlist, or a wild “what if?” question. Let them know their ideas are wanted and needed.Create a Central Space for an “Idea Exchange”
Set up a shared digital board (Pinterest, Trello, Notion, Google Drive) where everyone can drop links, photos, or voice notes. A central “idea exchange” means nothing gets lost, and everyone can add to the mix. Send people links, songs, or articles that inspire you. Ask them to bring their own. Host a “show and tell” or idea swap at your next gathering. The more cross-pollination, the better.Celebrate the Wild Cards and Listen for Surprises
Encourage “out there” ideas because sometimes the youngest or newest team members have the freshest vision. Esteem every contribution, no matter how small or quirky. Pay attention to who’s quietly creative. Maybe someone is going to uni (or college for our American friends) for design, or there’s a kid doodling in the back row of church. Invite them in! Sometimes the best ideas come from the edges, not the center.
The Dream Team: Who to call when you need….
Sometimes you’ll need an expert or two to call for that “thing” you’re working on. I wanted to open up our contacts today to some of the best people we know leading in these spaces. They live all over, but work everywhere.
