Hey Crashers,
We’ve spent this weekend in Nashville, catching up with old and new friends, meeting the greatest baby (who is one special Jesus miracle), and worshipping with the teams at the Belonging Co. and Crosspoint Church. It’s been all kinds of wonderful - hope you are having a great start to the week out there too. Next stop is Melbourne this weekend for the 24/7 Prayer Conference, and we can’t wait!
Grace and Peace,
Cass & Rich
5 things worth sharing this week.
A vision of the vocation of the Church.
We loved watching this short video from N.T. Wright about “Unity through the Gospel,” and hope you do too. It’s lofty in tone, but uplifting in content. What a crazy thing to think, that through Jesus, we get in on God’s plan for humanity!!
Get organized. Stay creative.
You’ve probably tried a lot of organizational tools - so have we - but maybe this one’s different. Milanote has been described as the “Evernote for creatives.” So maybe there’s hope. It’s a free and easy-to-use tool to organize your ideas and projects into visual boards. Check it out at Milanote.com.
From a fellow crasher…
Our friends at Faith Family Worship have just released a new song called “Shepherd.” Nick, who is on the team there, sent us a link. It came out recently, and we’ve added it to our worship playlist. Check it out, it’ll encourage you along with Nick and his team 😃.
Did you miss this??
Last week in the Rhino Journals, Cass wrote a piece about “Art as a Red Sea Road.” Laetitia and Guy wrote this about it;
“wow, this feels like a slap in the face - But a good one... thank you .. so much love for everything you share here.”
To be honest, it was a piece encouraging us to use art to pave roads to promised lands - to paint pictures, write songs, make films and build relationships that take us towards God’s way. And, to let others catch a glimpse of the vision. Read the entire piece here.
God’s soul food!
We enjoyed reading this post about “God’s soul food.” It’s part of a series - here’s a great opening line “… hope is what energizes the soul, and promises are what we feed our soul in order to get hope—just like we energize our bodies by eating food.” It’s about a 2 minute read by best guess - and well worth it.
How many of these can you do? 👇
I love a good challenge! Here’s a list of “101 Creativity Challenges to Boost Your Creative Energy and Creative Process.” Our personal favorite is number 3… which is all about paperclips…. or maybe it’s 63, for the same reason. Haha!
