Hey Crashers,
I’ve been contemplating the impact that any one of us can have on the world around us. Some would say, “Your life is just a drop in an ocean.” To that, I say, “No, you’re life creates ripples across the ocean.” None of us know the true impact we’re having - so be encouraged and keep creating waves for Jesus!!
Thanks for reading. As many of you know, this is a labor of love and reader-supported publication. If you’d like more from us, consider becoming a paid member - we’d love to get to know you!!

5 things worth sharing this week.
Add this album, you won’t regret it.
I am absolutely loving Pat Barrett’s new album “Shelter.” It’s full of simple songs that will inspire you to embrace the joy of following Jesus, despite the tough times that life may throw your way. I find myself singing the tunes well after the album has finished playing - a good sign if you ask me. Here are the charts if you want to use them in church.
Get the most out of what you read.
Ever read something brilliant and thought to yourself, “I need to remember that,” but then when you go to use the thing you read, you can’t find where you read it? It happens to me all the time. Readwise helps with that exact problem. You sink your highlights from Kindle, Instapaper, Pocket, iBooks, or other reading apps, then find them later when you need them in Readwise. Amazing!! Check it out here.
You’re not who you think you are!
Recently we’ve had the privilege of getting to know Celeste, the author of this book. She’s an inspiring person - and her story, along with the journey of writing and publishing this book, are super encouraging too. If you need to think differently, break cycles, and be confident, then this may just be for you!!
Don’t miss the good stuff…
Just for the Rhino Journal Members - our friend John Cassetto, Global Worship Pastor at Saddleback Church, wrote an inspiring and encouraging letter to all Church creatives. With his decades of ministry experience, you need not just read this article, but let it feed your soul and spur you on toward Christ. It will be good for you, no matter where or how you outwork your creativity and ministry. A must-read!
Delighting in the Trinity - Podcast.
I’m always on the lookout for new podcasts to add to my listening lineup. I don’t generally add preaching-style shows. But of late, I’ve needed some additional teaching to challenge and feed me. When I stumbled on Micheal Reeves excellent book on the Trinity, and then the podcast by the same name, I immediately added it - I’ve definitely have not regretted it!! If you want to know where to start listening - go back to “Come and Behold” from Sept 20, 2023 👍.
Discipleship starts at home.
“Many Christians today are praying for revival in the church, but there will never be revival in the church unless there is revival in the home.”
Howard Hendricks
This week I’ve been reading this free little book called “Family Discipleship” by Matt Chandler & Adam Griffin. It’s a guide to help parents create a plan for the spiritual leadership of their home. It’s full of scriptural insight, practical wisdom, and a good dose of challenging quotes from well-known Christians. I’d encourage you to download it and give it some thought. We all want to be creative leaders, but how many of us have intentionally thought about that leadership when it comes to our own homes? As it says in the introduction, “Your kids need guidance, and you are their guide.” Get the book here.
