Still Carrying Some Baggage? Here’s How to Let It Go.
A Monday Motivator to Lighten Your Load And Lift Your Eyes.
It's Monday again!
To be honest, they roll around quickly these days, don't they?
The weeks fly by.
And if you are anything like us, you want them all to count.
So, as the calendar turns and a new month begins, we are presented with opportunities that invite a deep reset.
We hope this edition helps. But to really move forward, you need a little help, motivation, inspiration, mentoring and community over the long term. We’re here for that! So if you’re not an inner circle member, consider upgrading; it could make all the difference.
Lamentations 3:22-23 says;
“Because of the Lord's loyal love, we are not consumed because His compassion doesn't fail. His tender mercies start over fresh every morning. His loyal love is new every morning."
It’s like a checklist of goodness!!
✅ New mercies.
✅ New mornings.
✅ New chances.
✅ Loyal love with each sunrise.
But why do we need new mercies every day?
❌ Because we get it wrong daily.
❌ We mark the page.
❌ We make a mess.
❌ We compromise relationships.
Put simply, we let our humanity get in the way of all our good intentions.
So, this Monday… what is the one thing you need?
♻️ The ability to reset, restart, and do over.
In John 21, we find Peter back in a boat, possibly disappointed and disheartened after a season of loss, failure and betrayal.
The fire where he denied Jesus still flickered in his memory.
But on the shore, Jesus stands with breakfast and kindness.
He doesn't lecture Peter for getting it wrong, deny him, or return to the familiar; instead, he invites him to "Come and eat."
Then, three times, He calls Peter back to purpose: "Feed my sheep."
This is the rhythm of grace: return, receive, be recommissioned.
📌 Could today be your day?
Maybe you've been drifting, disheartened, or just plain stuck.
What if you allowed Jesus to meet you where you are at right now, not with shame, but with invitation?
To start again, not from striving, but with breakfast with the One who loves you most.
Rich and I call this story "The Great Recall".
It mirrors the first time we see Jesus in the Gospels calling fishermen to a higher call - fishers of men. And now he returns to another beach at another time… so much life has transpired, so much has gone wrong, and yet Jesus remains steadily focused on what he started… and who he started it with; he doesn't give up but reinstates and recommissions.
How about you - are you tempted to throw in the towel, to do what the disciples did and return to fishing after some decent disappointments?
Or are you prepared to hunker down, remain steady in the original intention, back yourself and do a little recall this morning?
Let me encourage you with two ways to start fresh today:
