Hey Crashers,
Happy Thanksgiving! While we don’t celebrate it in Australia, we love the idea of stopping to be grateful. Imagine the ultimate Thanksgiving meal. All your best people are there. There are stories, laughter, and good times.
It’s a time to stop, reflect, and be grateful. This week’s Rapid 5 reflects this. We hope you find it helpful and inspirational.
You’ll notice, too, that we’ve updated the format of the Rapid 5. Let us know that you love the new format by giving it a quick “heart”.
Oh, and don’t forget to answer this week’s Poll 😃 - we’ve loved seeing your responses to this addition.
Grace and Peace,
Rich & Cass
The Rapid 5 provides tools, links, and tips to empower your creativity and faith. To get the most out of them, (and learn why they matter), pair them with this week’s Rhino Journal edition.
The Five-Minute Gratitude Journal.
Do you need help finding things to be grateful for? Use this journal alongside your Bible, it will help you pass on a faith that’s mindful and thankful. We’ve used it - it’s been super helpful.
Digital Liturgies (Free chapter here).
How could spending most of our waking hours online not change us? Is that okay? Or, as Creative Christians, should we be more imaginative with our lives? This book may be a great starting place.
Stop the endless scrolling.
Ever looked at your screen time stats? They’re scary!! We’re on our phones way too much!! Use your phone’s “app time limit” feature - this article will show you how.
Is your work too important, or not important enough?
There are only two options. The late Tim Keller encourages us to realign our approach to the work we do. He says, “Good work fits you and benefits others”. Good work is creative work.
”Strict Workflow” helps develop a working rhythm.
With the “Strict Workflow” Chrome extension, you can train yourself into a rhythm of work and rest. It uses the Pomodoro technique - 25 minutes work, 5 minutes rest. Get it and block websites that distract.
I want both!!!! Where’s the middle --- love paper books for sure ... and Pinterest
Most all of my books are on my device, so I should be good to burn the physical books.
