Hey Crashers,
Our house seems to get super dusty. It feels like we sweep and dust one day, and then the next, it’s back! The process goes around and around. Dust everywhere!! But then we do live in Australia, so??? Anyways, what has this got to do with creativity and faith? Everything!! Check out this week's Rapid 5 for some pretty crazy “Dust Art” and then the Journal for “How to Live a Life of Dust Art!”
Grace and Peace,
Cass & Rich

Actual Dust Art: Check out the mesmerizing works of Jim Denevan, an artist known for his large-scale geometric drawings in the sand. His art, often temporary and created on beaches or deserts, showcases the beauty and ephemerality of dust and sand. The one from 2009 with his bus is our favorite! (LINK)
Sand Art Video: Have you seen this performance by Kseniya Simonova, the winner of "Ukraine's Got Talent?" She creates an emotional story using only sand, transforming simple grains into powerful images. Something for your next special in Church? (LINK)
Book: "Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus: How the Jewishness of Jesus Can Transform Your Faith" by Ann Spangler and Lois Tverberg delves into the concept of being covered in the "dust of the rabbi," a metaphor for following closely in a teacher's footsteps. We’ve been reading and referring to this a lot lately. (LINK)
Podcast: Practicing the Way by John Mark Comer: If you’re more of a listener than a reader, dive into John Mark Comer's "Practicing the Way" podcast. It offers practical advice on spiritual disciplines and how to integrate them into your daily life, following the way of Jesus. (LINK)
Worship Song: Water and Dust by Cory Asbury: This song has been a great companion to our thinking this week about living lives of dusty reflection of Jesus. It speaks to the themes of transformation, redemption, and the journey of faith. Put it on while you read the journal below; it’ll add to the whole experience. (LINK)
