Hey Crashers,
Every so often, you meet a person you instantly love - Christian Ostrom (follow him on Instagram here) is one of those people for us. He is the Creative Director of Bethel Music. He is the ultimate creative - deep thinker, clever creator, problem solver, and boundary stretcher.
We asked him this week about a few links that are helping him creatively at the moment - and here are 3 of his and a couple of ours that involve him to go with them. You’re going to love them!!
Grace and Peace,
Cass & Rich

Dove Award winning work - “Come Up Here”
Imagine the practical logistics of recording an album’s visuals in a Redwood forest in the middle of nowhere! Christian has recently done the impossible. And knows what it feels like to have to dream with a team to capture the grandeur of God on film. He has stories for days of transporting generators and unexpected challenges, but the effort paid off with a stunning result… and also took home a Dove award last week. Congratulations friend!

Looking at the end result of someone’s work is one thing, but as creatives, we love to know the person behind the work - if you are like us, you’d be interested in hearing how Christian thinks and approaches his craft. You can read an interview with him and David Whitworth here about the Homecoming album project.
There’s nothing like a good crossword!
Christian is a fan of feeding his brain! He loves the NYC crosswords. It’s good for stimulating the brain in the mornings. According to Harvard Health Publishing, crosswords may improve memory and thinking skills with regular crossword practice. Plus, they’re a great mental distraction which always helps with the creative process.
