Hey Crashers,
So, back in the early 1920s, archaeologists peered inside Tutankhamun’s tomb for the first time. What they discovered will blow your mind!
This week’s newsletter is about recentering ourselves on the true source of our ideas… and where the best ideas come from.
Grace and Peace,

This is wild… but stay with me…
Back in the Bronze Age, they didn’t know how to make steel. It hadn’t been discovered yet. The tech wasn’t available.
So what did they do?
Easy…
Rocks that contained “magical metal” that was stronger than anything they could make would sometimes fall from the sky.
Tutankhamun apparently had a meteoritic iron dagger which was made from the stuff.
Imagine that - it’s just like a Marvel movie - metal from the sky!!!
But this isn’t made up…
Hieroglyphs from the Bronze Age literally display the idea of “metal of the sky”.
Here’s an example from Wikipedia;
Okay, so get this…
When these meteorites enter the Earth's atmosphere, the outer parts burn up. This burning releases elements into the upper atmosphere.
One of these elements is iron. When the meteoritic iron burns, it breaks into single iron atoms that can react with ozone (O3) to form iron oxide (FeO).
This iron oxide might be what causes the orange bands seen in the upper atmosphere.
Yep, that was nerdy but…
Stop for a second - isn’t your creativity just like that?
Doesn’t it kind of “fall from the sky”? Not just the sky, from the heavens!
As Christian Creatives, our art, creativity, and imagination are meant to be fueled by ideas that come from the Holy Spirit.
I believe then we can produce our best work, unlike anything found anywhere on earth, when we look for the things that fall from the sky!!
In other words, when we’re not trying harder, comparing ourselves to others, and just doing what everyone else is doing!! Instead, when we’re free in Christ, we should listen and look for the ideas that come from God Himself—His direction and His guidance.
The beautiful thing is, just like the iron in the meteorites, your life, reacting the Holy Spirit’s work, can change the atmosphere.
Your creative endeavor isn’t meant solely for enjoyment, to pay the bills, to garner accolades, or for self-indulgence.
There’s a higher calling!!
A world-changing, atmosphere-shaking call.
So look for the “rocks falling from heaven” this week as you create. And get ready for the change in atmosphere your life will create!
