May Learnings
We’re constantly presented with opportunities to learn more about how God sees our faith and creativity. This past month was no exception… and we LOVED it!! Here are a few standouts…
1. One comment can make a difference.
We’re big believers in community & collaboration - if you hadn’t already guessed, but this month surprised us. We were speaking with Salomon about what he dreams of creating if money were no obstacle, and had a conversation around whether “patrons of the arts” still exist for people like him.
Fast forward a few days, and one of the comments we received from our community was a request to get in touch with Sal to see if they could offer support and finance for his passion project. Who knows what will come of it… But we’re glad this is a gathering place for creatives who encourage, lift, inspire, and support each other like that!
We invite you to be a part of the good times with us… Keep the comments coming. Not only is it encouraging for us, but who knows, maybe God will connect you with someone who can help see your dream come to life?!!
2. You love the tools worksheets.
It's fun to hear how some of you have taken the worksheet on reading the Bible and shared it with Pilates classes, university friends, and small groups. We love how things like that become shareable resources, and you are always looking for opportunities to connect with your community and share your faith. 3. Help us help you.
A few months ago, a subscriber reached out to let us know she was planning to start her own creative agency, majoring in design. We saw that as the perfect opportunity to enlist Jay Argaet's help. Despite the journey being like the image above 🤣, we’re pretty excited about the content to come. Don’t miss it!!
A Personal Note…
As many of you will know, my favorite place on earth is always a three-way tie between home, Copenhagen, and Hawaii. But this month, we found ourselves immersed in Hawaiian culture with friends as we ministered at a women’s conference at New Hope Church on Oʻahu. It was beautiful!!
We participated in hula worship, made leis for a friend’s baptism, and worshipped in a lounge room surrounded by ukuleles and a beatbox or two (shout-out to Hezzie, JP, and Freddie - who are insanely talented!!), all with the joy of Hawaiians loving Jesus.
It’s a unique experience to be invited into the heart of a culture, where you encounter real people, real lives, and real stories. We found ourselves heartbroken over families struggling with kids in prison, marriages under pressure, and teenagers facing anxiety and daily challenges.
Yet, in all of this, we saw God once again reach into the chaos and gently begin to create order as people shared stories, rallied around each other, and prayed for change.
It stirred again a quiet conviction that the work we creatives do really matters. It’s not just the flush around the edges - your creativity honors God!!
Rich and I also preached together on Sunday, and we thought we’d give you a little glimpse, just in case you feel like being part of a local Hawaiian service. It’s below for our Crashers Collective Members.
